WOXY Documentary

Here's a cool 10 minute long documentary on WOXY, which used to be the main radio station in Oxford, but is now an internet only broadcaster. (And I just read that they are now going to move from Cinci down to Austin fulltime.)

Kings of Leon

Sarah and I went to see the Kings of Leon Tuesday night. It was an early birthday present for her. We had a good time and KoL were very entertaining. I've been to 2 concerts in the past month, that's as many as I went to in the previous 5 years probably.

Pam's foot

Pam had a mishap and severely sprained her foot Thursday evening. I took her to get x-rays at the hospital, while Kay stayed with the boys (thanks, Kay). It really looked like it was broken with a big black and blue lump on the side of her foot. But they said they saw no fracture. So she's got this flat-soled booty to wear, and she's staying off it, keeping it iced and elevated, and using crutches when she has to walk very far. Here's hoping it feels a whole lot better in a week for our trip to DC.

Cole's A Star

Cole got picked to take part in this commercial they filmed with Loveland students for X-Milk. Apparently it's been one of the local ads on Nickelodeon a few times, but we haven't seen it yet. Cole's getting his 15 minutes of fame early.

Our New Dog

Today we brought Sidney, a 4 year old chocolate lab, home from the SPCA. She's very calm and seems to be a great family dog. We have some work to do to housebreak her, but the kids are excited, and it should be fun having another animal to care for.

Congratulations to Zach for winning the Little Miami Fantasy Football League. As champ he gets to host the league trophy for the year.

Snow Week

Loveland has been socked in with massive snow and ice this week. It started Monday night/Tuesday morning. After snow, then sleet and freezing rain, and then 2 more snow events, we've got 7 or 8 inches of snow sandwiched around a half inch of ice. The kids had a 2 hour delay Tuesday and then have been off the last 3 days. Lots of sledding, shovelling, and family togetherness this week!
